Edmonds Center for the Arts

We've supported the Edmonds Center for the Arts (ECA) for decades because it's a beloved part of Edmonds' civic and cultural life. Housed in a historic 1930's concert hall that once served the town's high school (Rick attended classes there), it gives local groups like the Cascade Symphony Orchestra a dependable stage and brings a steady mix of performances and community events into the heart of town.

I learned this firsthand back in 2011, when — after years of receiving a Bush-era tax break for the wealthy that I didn't need — I noticed that to pay for that tax cut, public funding for community programs and institutions was being decimated. Recognizing the practical value of investing my tax savings in my community, I've donated $100,000 a year to the Edmonds Center for the Arts and Cascade Symphony Orchestra ever since.
