- Wade Davis is a professor of anthropology at the University of British Columbia, and lives on Bowen Island, BC. He also writes about his love for the country of Colombia in his recent book "Magdalena: River of Dreams."
- Steven Kazlowski created the photo book, "The Last Polar Bear." It includes essays from prominent nature writers, and earned him the Sierra Club’s 2008 Ansel Adams Award.
- Steven also works with an Inupiat guide from Barter Island to offer photography boat tours in ANWR waters and polar bear regions. They expect to resume offering tours in 2022.
