March 3: An Update on the Fight to End Hunger with Rick Steves and Eugene Cho

6:00 p.m. PT / 9:00 p.m. ET | REGISTER

Ten percent of humanity is hungry. That's much better than it used to be but not nearly good enough. Rick has long woven his travels and his interest in fighting hunger together. That's why, for 40 years, he's been a supporter of Bread for the World, an advocacy organization speaking up for hungry people at home and abroad in the halls of Congress. To celebrate our successful $1,000,000 holiday fundraising campaign (in which over 5,000 travelers gave $100 matched by Rick), Eugene and Rick will team up to get our MNT community up to date on the fight to end world hunger: the good news, the bad news, and why this issue should matter to all Americans.

New Orleans with Andrew Farrier

This event was recorded on February 24, 2025.

New Orleans is a buffet for the senses: beignets sizzle, spirits flow, and world-class musicians busk beneath lacy iron balconies draped in bougainvillea. But New Orleans is more than these French Quarter classics, and with the help of tour guide Andrew Farrier, we unravel this city's rich cultural tapestry. We attend a backyard crawfish boil, follow a brass band down city streets, and take a closer look at voodoo. To cap the evening, we don beads and celebrate Mardi Gras. Laissez les bon temps rouler!
