- Matthew Gavin Frank teaches Creative Writing at Northern Michigan University, and is the author of "The Mad Feast: An Ecstatic Tour Through America's Food." His latest book, "Flight of the Diamond Smugglers," takes place in coastal South Africa.
- Mary Morris teaches writing at Sarah Lawrence College, and has written more than a dozen novels and works of non-fiction. Her memoir that centers on her experiences in India is "All the Way to the Tigers."
