Our donations help Citizens’ Climate Education (“CCE”) train, support and provide tools to a growing nationwide coalition of climate advocates, equipping them to engage policymakers and the public on smart solutions to climate change.
CCE empowers a bipartisan coalition of more than 230,000 advocates across 369 local chapters and 62 national action teams. Bipartisan support is essential to creating lasting climate solutions. As long as climate change remains a partisan issue, solutions will inevitably be delayed or rolled back every time opposing parties assume power, and time is running too short for partisan gridlock.
In the last year, CCE’s volunteers generated 106,762 calls and messages to Congress, held 1,205 meetings with congressional staff, and achieved 1,761 local media hits about climate action. Their efforts have contributed to the passage of eight federal climate laws and the establishment of bipartisan climate caucuses in Congress.
Our ongoing donation will help CCE continue to generate bipartisan support for climate solutions, recruit and train more volunteers, and acquire endorsements from influential businesses and community leaders.

Our donations helped Citizens' Climate Education (CCE) strengthen their nationwide coalition of climate advocates, create a powerful counterweight to paid lobbyists advocating for the fossil fuel industry, and educate policymakers and the public about smart solutions to climate change.
CCE believes that as long as climate change remains a partisan issue, solutions will inevitably be delayed or rolled back every time opposing parties assume power — and time is running too short for partisan gridlock. That's why they empower a bipartisan coalition of over 195,000 climate advocates to educate policymakers and the public about effective and equitable solutions to climate change.
CCE believes that the solution to climate change is democracy. With more than 210,000 climate advocates organized into 400 local chapters and 70 Action Teams, CCE has cultivated one the strongest grassroots movements working to advance climate legislation in the United States. CCE volunteers are trained to meaningfully engage their elected officials, host public outreach events, and build public support for action to fight climate change.
In 2023, CCE hopes to add 30,000 new advocates, with a focus on engaging the frontline communities most directly affected by climate change along with other underrepresented groups. In addition, they aim to hold over 1,500 outreach events, secure 900 endorsements, and educate more than 180,000 people.

Our donations helped Citizens' Climate Education (CCE) strengthen their nationwide coalition of climate advocates, create a powerful voice to counter paid lobbyists advocating for the fossil fuel industry, and educate policymakers and the public about smart solutions to climate change.
CCE believes that as long as climate change remains a partisan issue, solutions will inevitably be delayed or rolled back every time opposing parties assume power — and time is running too short for partisan gridlock. That's why they empower a bipartisan coalition of over 195,000 climate advocates to educate policymakers and the public about effective and equitable solutions to climate change.
CCE volunteers are organized into more than 450 active chapters across the country — spanning all 50 states and territories — and are trained to meaningfully engage their elected officials and local communities through meetings, writing letters to members of Congress, getting letters to the editor and op-eds published, hosting public outreach events, and building public support for action to fight climate change.
Over the past year, they added 23,552 members, held 1,735 outreach events, had 1,307 meetings with Congress, and published 3,865 media pieces. As a result of their efforts, the Storing CO2 and Lower Emissions (SCALE) Act was signed into law through the bipartisan Infrastructure and Jobs Act; the Senate passed the Growing Climate Solutions Act with overwhelming bipartisan support (and it's expected to pass the House); and significant progress was made on carbon pricing through standalone legislation and reconciliation negotiations.

Our donation helped Citizens' Climate Education (CCE) strengthen their nationwide coalition of climate advocates, create a powerful counterweight to paid lobbyists advocating for the fossil fuel industry, and educate policymakers and the public about smart solutions to climate change.
CCE empowers people to advocate for effective and sustainable climate solutions at the grassroots level. Their volunteers build relationships that purposely bridge the partisan divide. They're organized into 466 chapters across the US and 102 chapters in 33 countries. In the US, CCE-trained volunteers lobbied to build bipartisan support for the Energy Innovation and Carbon Dividend Act (H.R.763) and supported the launch of the bipartisan Climate Solutions Caucus in the Senate.
In the last year, CCE held 4,773 local outreach events, added 76,000 new members (a 72 percent increase), launched 64 new chapters, held an all virtual international climate conference, and won the Keeling Curve Prize. Their volunteers collected almost 100,000 constituent letters to hand-deliver to Congress and held over 1,700 in-person meetings with congressional officers.
The key to CCE's success: the belief that strong, vibrant communities have the power to reduce carbon emissions more than anyone else.
