Guidebook Updates for Slovakia
When we learn of critical changes to the information in our guidebooks on Slovakia, we post them here. (Of course, it's still smart to reconfirm critical transportation and sightseeing details locally.) Armed with a Rick Steves guidebook and these late-breaking updates, you're set for a great trip!
- There is no more bag storage at the Hlava Stanica train station, and it may be unavailable at the Petrzalka station as well. Try Bounce or Stasher for help locating a storage spot near the station.
For books printed before January 2024, the following may also apply:
- Slovakia's toll sticker for its expressways has been replaced by an electronic vignette.
- The Apponyi House no longer shows off period rooms but is now an extension of the City History Museum that features temporary exhibits.
- Café Mondieu has closed.
